Let him eat cake

*Don't forget the scavenger hunt (open to everyone) -- comment with your link to the post so I can add it to the list for everyone to visit!

Hi! I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Poops "helped" Daddy make a nice big breakfast for me and by "help" I mean put on his little chef outfit and scavenged for food while Daddy did some cooking. Husband told him it was Mother's Day which he thought meant that it was Mama's Bod-day (birthday) and as soon as it dawned on him that it could possibly be someone's birthday (it really doesn't matter whose) he realized then that there must be cake. It was funny to see this realization process unfold which led to a chain of happy two-year-old exclamations (at 7 in the morning) of "CAKE! CAKE! CAKE! CAKE! MAMA BOD-DAY! CAKE!" So he got a zucchini nut muffin.

This was the lovely spread.
Deeeee-Lish. (Thank goodness I had saved up for my "day off").

Then it was on to my mom and dad's house for hotdogs and hamburgers at my dad's "indoor picnic" complete with the red-checkered tablecloth. (It was really nice that the men did all the cooking yesterday! It was so cute to see them bustling around. Thanks guys!)

And I got a wonderful Mother's Day present from my mom, perhaps one of my very favorite things right now in the whole world.
A shiny pink teapot!! There are few things I love more than the color pink -- except for maybe things that are pink and even moreso a teapot that is pink. I love pink. (Can you tell?)

Now I am back to reality which means cleaning the house, grocery shopping and the gym today (real exciting stuff). So I'll leave you for now with a picture of my 5 month's old chunky arm. That's my little Michelin Man! Have a good day!
