WOOOOOOOOOO-OOOOOOOOOOO! It's a Very Halloweenie Fat Ticker Friday + Peep Show!

Apparently I love the fall and everything in it. Like homemade pumpkin spice lattes like I'm drinking right now. And baking things like Apple Crisp, Pumpkin Muffins, Spice Cookies, and making Pumpkin Rice (I just put this up on RecipeZaar it's that good!) and pumpkin-shaped grilled cheeses and monster pizza and today, for Halloween, mummy hot dogs and tombstone sandwiches. Yum! And yes, I've tried some of my creations, but the more decadent ones, only once and only a small serving. I just like tastes of things. I feel like I've been cooking up a storm lately.


Anyway, before I get into all the weigh-ins and whatnots, I'm making this a big long picture-post because today's fun project was posting pictures of something, anything dressed up and since it won't be until later when the kiddos are dressed up, I'll share with you one of my famous Peeps photo shoots in honor of Halloween. And no judging. No thinking, "What on earth does she do all day?!" and things like that. Because Peeps are kinda my thing. I don't know why. I'm weird. Everyone already knows this. This isn't news. So here it is without further adieu: The Official Halloween Peep Photo Shoot of 2008:

And it was all fine and good when I was taking pictures of the trick-or-treaters when I noticed one Peep getting into all the candy.

And then he had a little too much....




And he was reallllly unhappy about that. No one likes to barf. Not even a Peep.


But then his day went horribly wrong... ending very badly when my two-year-old walked into the room. Poor Peep.

And how did everyone do this week??? I got some good runs in, (i.e. crazy 5 1/2 mile run that I didn't mean to do but my poor math skills made me do it) and ate pretty well, so I'll be weighing in at 8 a.m. and reporting back after that.

  7. Oh boy, let's see, I haven't been keeping track lately since I have had the bum knee but I am 195, so I think the last time I checked in I was at 194? I dunno, so let's say up a pound. It's been a challenging few weeks (over 3 to be exact) and I'm hoping and praying that starting Monday, I can really get back into a good workout routine.

  13. I have had a really bad few weeks. I guess I just got down that I wasn't losing so I kind-of gave up. But, I WAS maintaining before I gave up & now I am up 1.6 lbs. I am so sorry!

  17. Well, at least I don't have to post a gain again! I'm really stuck around my current weight though, and can't seem to break past it. Bleh. But, I am happy to report that I'm down 0.2 of a pound from last week. That is up .2 of a pound from yesterday, but that doesn't count, does it!? :-) Of course, neither does a .4 pound loss by weighing in yesterday vice today. :-(

  20. I refused to weigh in last week because I had a nasty gain. VERY nasty. Now I wish I had. Because I lost ALL the weight I gained PLUS SOME!!! WOO-HOO!!! I'm down a total of THREE POUNDS this week!!! Can you tell I'm excited??? ;-)

    BTW - LOVE the "Peep show"!!!!!!

  23. holding steady. none lost and none gained. i'm walking more and getting better. doc cleared me for work and exercise but i have to admit that just easy walking (1-2 miles daily) is about all i can handle so i am happy to be holding steady. hopefully my goblins won't be getting too many treats that might tempt me.

  27. Down 0.5 of a pound. Pretty happy with that since I still can't exercise!!!! I really need to start movin' again. Maybe I will get the all clear on Thursday. Great job to everyone still in the "game". It takes hard work and dedication to make it this far. Don't give up now!!!!!

  28. I'm down 2 this week. Man oh man this is a hard time of year to diet! All I want to do is curl up in blankets and sleep for the winter. We're having GORGEOUS unseasonably warm weather (70's) right now though so at least we've gotten to spend a lot of time outside!
