Fat Ticker Friday III

Woohoo! Can you believe we've been doing this for three weeks?? How do you feel? I feel great! (Got my eye on that "5 pounds gone" badge still...) I didn't get a chance to run Thursday because we had dinner late, so I did an hour of Wii Fit instead and I will run today instead and do arms.

I'm anxious to see how I did this morning (I weigh in at 8 am-ish and I'll report back).

Weightloss: 1 pound!! woohoo! although this is when i feel like "one lonely pound at a time" and it feels frustrating, but it does add up. i have to remember that.
Goal for next week: eat better and i don't just mean deleting the bad stuff, i mean eating more often, good carbs with proteins. i too often leave off the protein because of time or skip a meal but i have to be better about that, which all goes back to being prepared. when i don't have all my snacks and "good" food stocked up, i run out, forget to eat, all of that. ok. better next week.

I only had one major indiscretion and that was having McDonalds on the way home from the hospital at 9 at night Monday (after visiting me mumsy) because that was dinner, and I had forgotten to eat most of the day. And no, I did not get the grilled chicken sandwich and water that I was convinced I would form my mouth to order, instead I found myself saying, I'll take the two-cheeseburger meal with a coke. Zoinks! I know, I know. (She is home now, by the way).
I will post my photo essay of loveliness soon, I had a camera mishap but it's all fixed. Man, we're creeping up on that ticker, can you believe we've gotten rid of an entire person worth of weight? 144 pounds so far!!??? High fives all around! And remember that "life to-do list" we did last week? A lot of us had "travel" on there.. and if you want some more inspiration and have 5 minutes to spare, watch this.   6. I'm down 4.8 pounds thanks to lots of exercise. Apparently the two workout sessions a day is working for me. (I can't physically do one workout session for more than 30 minutes.)

    As far as my weight loss, I'm down 1 pound. I had hoped for more but a pound is a pound! I drank lots of water this week and did well with my eating. Now if I can just get the work outs going I might really get somewhere! Happy Friday!

  10. I'm not sure how to report my loss since I gained 2 lbs last week. So, this week I am down 4 pounds from last friday's weigh-in, which is a net loss of 2 more pounds from my original weight.

    My contribution in the Mr. Linky wasn't actually done for this, but it certainly fits as something (someone) who can drive me crazy at times!

  12. No loss this week yet again but I know it's because I had to take it easy because of knee pain. Not getting in as much exercise as I'm used to.

    And Meg, please don't feel discouraged. Even though this contest is about the # of pounds, you should really focus more on how you feel and inch loss. That 2 lbs could be anything really, no worries. Just keep going, eat healthy and exercise. You are staying accountable and that is what counts.

  13. I'm at a stand still. No loss but no gain. Ugh! In my defense lol my mommy visited on Monday and I over ate as I expected. Then my wedding anniversary was yesterday and I again...over ate=) So my little girls and I are off to sweat all that yummy food off right now!

  17. Just as I hoped, no weight gain but no weight lost. I stayed the same. Could be better, could be worse....I did "OK" which I cannot stand and had to write an entire blog about it. Good luck to whoever wins and to those who worked thier tails off! Working hard and eating cleanly could be the difference on the scale next week! When your working out hard and eating right its cumulative. IF your body holds the weight via salt, hormones etc. it may be released the following week. Thats how it is for me anyway.

  25. I lost 2 lbs this week. I have to say I am a little disappointed... I have been working SO hard at this and am only down 4.8 total!! The only thing keeping me from being totally bummed is that I have started to notice a difference in my body.

  28. No loss, but no gain, either, whew! I was actually up a pound mid-week (thanks, Aunt Flo! ;-P), but I stayed steady with the food and exercise and it went away. Hopefully never to be found again.

  29. I'm back up .4lbs. I do have to say I love my new scale - I just tap on it and it tells me how much I weighed last week then I stand on it and it weighs me now and at the end tells me the difference - of course I didn't like the + sign I got today but such is life.

  30. i did GOOD this week. for me, having hashimoto's thyroiditis makes it very difficult to lose weight. 1/2 pound per week is the 'norm' for ppl like me. so, i'm excited.

    last week: 213.6
    this week: 211.0

    Oh yeah, baby...2.6 pounds lost! lol

    i'm going to be answering the question and posting my official weigh in on my website later today. we are heading out to a movie that starts at noon and gotta make sure the girls get ready, and me, too. lol :)

  31. I didn't weigh in last week, so for the past two weeks I had a 1.6 pound gain to today. I know this is partly because I haven't been able to do much in the working out dept these past two weeks due to RA flaring and fibromyalgia adding its 2 cents. I hope that I'll feel better to be able to report some weight loss next week.

  32. Down another pound this week. Yippee! I keep thinking that even it it's only 1 lb a week that it would still be at least 50 lbs over a year. And knowing that the woman's body, left unchecked, will gain about 5 lbs a year, I'm at least counteracting that. So with today's weigh-in, I've lost 5 lbs total so far! YIPPEE!

  34. I am down 2 pounds this week. Not sure that I deserve it, but I'll take it. I did awesome on the exercise front, not so good on the eating.

    I am really going to try to get with the program this coming week. I just realized that I am now only 9 pounds away from a 'normal' BMI. Pretty exciting since I have already lost over 50 pounds in the last year.

  35. Everybody is doing so good! Ahhh ... I gained 1.4lbs since last Friday. I am fluctuating up & down so much lately ... don't know what's going on. It was a busy, crazy week though. I knew I would probably gain, I was just hoping for much less than this!

  38. I'm finally losing... down 1.5lbs today!!! :) The thyroid meds have kicked in and I am actually feeling GREAT!! I have tons more energy and I'm not gaining weight!! YIPEE!!

  45. Okay, part of me doesn't even want to give my weigh-in this week

    I'm down 7 lbs again. No shit!

    People are going to leave nasty comments on my blog, I just know it. They are going to think I'm a liar, or a cheat, or some freak of nature. Honestly, I'm none of those. I even squatted down to make sure I was really, truly reading the scale correctly.

    I’m heading to Target this weekend. I’m going to buy a decent scale. A digital one. Not this old dial one I have – I hate waiting for the dial to stop swinging back and forth and back and forth and back and forth after stepping on the damn thing anyway!

    Trust me, when I weighed myself back on Sept 8th, I checked again, and again, and again. I did the same thing last week. And again this week. I’m not sure what is going on, but my pants are getting loose again, so even if the weight loss numbers are off because of my scale, I certainly am indeed loosing weight. I wore jeans yesterday that were loose by the end of the day (you know, how they loosen up a bit throughout the day), that I couldn’t even wear at the end of last winter. So I’m feeling good, but I guaran-damn-tee you this sort of weight loss has never been easy for me in the past. I swear it’s all the weight loss karma coming from all the participants here! Thank you & a big WOO HOO!

    Drum roll please....she lost 3 pounds (I hate her - just kidding). She lost the 2 she gained last week plus an extra.

  47. I ate well under my calorie goals this week, and I think I may have under-eaten enough that my body freaked out and started hanging on because I gained .4 pounds. Call it .5 if it makes it easier. Still, my jeans fit better. No, I haven't been gaining muscle. Go figure.
