Fat Ticker Friday: The Series Finale

The finale! Is it true that it's upon us? Already????

I just can't believe it. I just wanna thank everyone for all of the motivation and support you all have given me over these past couple of months. I have had so much fun! I hope you have too!

I'll start with the good stuff, the prizes and if you haven't read about the prizes this week, here's a recap:
Prize #1 goes to a randomly selected winner who has weighed in throughout the challenge at least 10 times:

A $50 Gift Card from Victoria's Secret sponsored by Lissa of The Anderson Clan --ooh la la!

A SPIBelt, sponsored by Runner's Lounge. A SPIBelt is short for "Small Personal Items" Belt, and it's a must-have for any outdoor exercise. It's revolutionary as far as its lightweightness and the amount of stuff you can fit in it, and its maker, a brilliant female athlete, was featured on Donny Deutsch not too long ago, I saw it. I love this thing! (I want one myself!!)

Everyone who weighs in today will be eligible for the following prizes:

Prize #2: The book "Send Yourself Roses" by Kathleen Turner
Prize #3: The book, "How Not To Look Old" by Charla Krupp - fast and effortless ways to look 10 years younger, 10 pounds lighter, 10 times better, both books sponsored by Laura at Adventures in Juggling
Prize #4: A necklace or bracelet from my Etsy shop

And everyone who weighs in or leaves a comment who has ever been a part of Hot for the Holidays will get a baby blue silicone bracelet engraved with the words, "Strength, Focus, Discipline". And it's actually really cute, I got them in yesterday!

When you weigh in today, make sure you leave your loss for this week along with the total loss for the challenge.

For me:

This week's loss: 1 pound!! Yay!!!! A new decade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Grand total: 9 pounds!!!
Woohoo!! Ok, so I didn't reach my goal for the challenge, which was 18 pounds. But that's ok, because I am still working and I am very very close to the end! Since April, I have lost 31 pounds and I have met my original goal of losing the babyweight. My husband's holiday party is next week and I'm actually EXCITED about shopping for a dress!!! Woohoo!!! I'm not gonna be the fattest one at the party this year for once!!!

All I wanted this year for myself was to feel good about myself again. And I can't believe it sometimes, I actually feel so good that sometimes I have to pinch myself and remind myself that yes, I did all that work this year and it wasn't just some sort of a crazy dream.

I know everyone here has it in them to keep going and finish the job! So go ahead! Link it up!! Got some before and afters?? Do share! And let's here it everyone!! How did you do this week and even more importantly, this challenge????

  1. 3.8 lbs down this week, bringing my total to 13.8!!! This was a great challenge and I really enjoy your blog. I look forward to reading you in the future and seeing what new ideas you come up with!

  2. 1. THANK YOU for doing this challenge. It was what I needed to get myself REALLY motivated.

    2. I stayed the same this week. Sorry! I'm still in my "new decade" though & that feels excellent.

    3. Total weight loss for this challenge = 4.5 pounds.

    4. Total weight loss overall - from my highest weight = 14 pounds. Wow - never typed that up.

    5. PLEASE do another challenge. Pretty please? This has worked so well for me & I want to keep going.

    Thanks again!

  3. We are on a roll girls!!! I am down 2.25 this week and 13.45 for the challenge!!!! Thanks so much Christie!!! I can't wait to get my cool blue focus bracelet!!!! You are the best!!!

  4. I lost 1 pound this last week. YES!!!!!!!!!

  5. I've said this before, but I'll say it again....this was a wonderful challenge!!!! I'm down 2 pounds this week (which I don't think really count since last week encompassed TOM) and 12 pounds overall.

But because I started 2 weeks late, I have have some more time to lose another 3 pounds for a total loss of 15. Woohoo!

    Thanks, again. ((HUGS))

  6. 2.2 lbs I think that brings me down 12lbs. Either way I went from a 10 to an 8. In fact before the challenge started I bought a pair of jeans that were a 10 - I took them back and bought an 8. Today I am wearing those jeans and they fit just fine. I am currently 135lbs. I need to lose another 15 but I'm on my way!!

  7. Ummm, does it really have to end? I am totally bummed! TOTALLY bummed - can't we keep going and call it "New You for New Years" or something?!?!?!

Please - I need the accountability and I am only half way there!

Anyhoo - great job on the loss! I am sure you are gonna look FABULOUS for that party! Loving it!

    Thank you for doing this!

(PS - I missed two weeks, one fo rthe 3day and one because I ewas in an airport ... can I still be in the drawing?!?!?!)

  8. Thank you so much for hosting this great challenge. Although I had many personal challenges and gained it was inspirational to see everyone stay so committed.

I was really happy to be part of the prize giveaway and thank you for including me.

Happy Holiday's! Hubs and I are off to Jamaica in a few days. A much needed vacation that is for sure.

Keep up the great work everyone!

  9. I was really hoping to break the 10 lb mark this week, but I went the OTHER way... UP 1.4 lbs... grrr......... I thought I was doing pretty good, but I have been sick, and have always tended to 'hold' my weight when I'm sick.

So, total lost to date is 7.4 lbs (last week I was up to 8.8 lbs...). But, that's more than a year's average weight gain that I LOST in 14 weeks!!!

Thanks so much for doing this. It has at least made the process fun, and shown me that we all have ups and downs, so it's good to have someone to go up and down with!

  10. Thanks for having this awesome challenge Christie! I have really enjoyed it!

I am down 1.2 pounds this week.

Overall for the challenge, I am only down the 1.2... which is hugely disappointing and far from the goal I had set for myself! However, I have been hitting the gym hard and am proud of what I have accomplished with the exercise! And I will continue on this weight-loss journey! ;o)

  11. I am down 1/2 pound this week, bringing my total to -10.5 pounds!

I have gotten rid of all my baby weight and am on my way down! I'll have my post up soon!

    Thanks for hosting Christy!

  12. I'm down 0.6 since last Friday (sorry I couldn't pull off the pound you wanted! Oh well.)

My total lost during the challenge was 14.8 lbs! Woo hoo me! ;)

Thank you for holding the "Hot for the Holidays" group challenge, Christie!

  13. I can hardly believe that this is over! Does it really have to be? I'm hoping for a new challenge, no pressure or anything. I still havve a TON left to loose. This by far is the longest I have ever commited to actually loosing weight. Kinda cool.

Well this week I'm down 3 whole pounds, same as I was midweek. Kinda sad I didn't loose more after that!

Total for this challenge is -20.4!! WOW is all I can say. I'm actually having a hard time seeing it still!! But I know its gone since I'm down 2 pant sizes and 1 shirt! I couldn't be happier about it.

Thank you ladies for being such a great support system these last 12 weeks!

  14. This has been a great motivator for me. Thank you so much for doing it.

I lost 1 pound this week for a net loss of 13 pounds for the challenge. Yay! Better than nothing I say!

  15. I am down .2 lbs this week. Okay so I didn't do so well. I lost 2 lbs total. I have 9 lbs to go to get to my pre baby weight. That was what I was hoping to lose, but I am not going to get down about it. I lost 2 lbs & am going down & maintaining. Not too bad for now! & thank you for doing this challenge. Another one would be great :). Maybe by summer time I will be back to my old body shape (or close to it anyway). Thanks again!

  16. Congrats to everyone who completed the challenge!!! And thanks, Christy, for getting this going for us!

I'm down 2 pounds this week. And I can't believe it, but I went back and double-checked my charts: I'm down 24 pounds for the whole challenge! I still have a long way to go, but I'm delighted to say that I met my personal "HFH" goal: halfway (to goal) by the holidays!!!

Looking forward to the next challenge!

  17. thx for hosting the challenge. even though i'm pretty much back where i started (since i finally lost the swelling and some of the weight i gained over last cpl wks), i was glad for all the support i had gotten during this time. i know i've got work to do to get myself back on track. so my total weight loss for the challenge: big fat ZERO can i just say my thyroid issues suck? tho i don't totally blame it on that.

  18. I've lost 0.6 pounds this week and 3.6 for the challenge. But since I started losing, I've lost 19.1!!! I hope you do another challenge soon.

  19. Where the time go???!!! I am down 1.5 lbs this week for a total of 14.5 lbs and I'm not counting my sick weight loss week because well that doesn't really count. And it's not over...well THIS challenge may be but I'm not done and I know a lot of us here aren't either so we'll just keep looking forward to the next one and keep chugging along. Even though my "goal" was 24 lbs for this time around my real goal is to lose 40 lbs by May 5th=) I'm optimistic that I can still make that goal!!!

    Thanks Christie!

  20. Lost one pound. That makes me down a total of 3. Not my goal but it will have to do.
Thanks again for another great challenge!!

  21. Loss for the week - .2 lbs.
Wished it could have been more, but I really didn't put forth the effort. I know it's my own fault.

    Total loss - 6.8 lbs.
It may not seem like much, but it is a huge step for me. I can't wait for the next group weight loss adventure.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

  22. I lost 1.5 this week for a total of 12.2. That's pretty impressive for me under the circumstances. Looking forward to the next one.

  23. Well, I was shocked to find that I did actually lose .5 lb this week - I'll take it! That makes my grand total only 2.5 lbs for the challenge. Very far from my goal, but I am glad to lose something!

I'll take away 2 things from this - I need to do something new and different to get the pounds coming off, and hey - I went 13 weeks without gaining weight and even lost a bit!

Thanks for all the encouragement and accountability - it really did help me even get as far as I did.

  24. I lost those 2 Tday pounds that I was up last Friday.

For the overall challenge is has been about 5 pounds, which is super for me!
I am in a new decade, my goal decade and that makes me very happy.

  25. sadly i am up .2 this week but i am very proud to report that i lost 15.2 during the challenge and personally i have lost 60 lbs in the past 18 months and gone from a size 20 to a 10. 15 more to go to make lifetime at WW!

  26. Congrats everyone!!!

I'm down 3 pounds total, no loss this week. But since I've been eating out almost every night while out of town on training for the last couple weeks, I think I've maintained pretty well.

Looking forward to another opportunity to be "losers" together again!

  27. MAINTAINED!!! Overall though, I lost a total of 16 pounds on this challenge. It's been fun!! Hoping to see another challenge real soon! Something for 2009???

Thanks for taking the time to do this. Happy Holidays to you!! :)

  28. No loss this week...or last, I can't believe I forgot to comment last week. Gah!

Overall? I think it's at 3.6 pounds lost. Not much, but I'll take it. Sigh...too many ups and downs. I'm a work in progress.

  29. that's TWICE i put the wrong URL in mr. linky lol

  30. I'm a little late reporting in and missed last week due to being out of town, but this week's loss was 1.5 pounds. Brings me to a total loss of 8.5 pounds. Thanks for doing this challenge!

  31. I'm really late, but just wanted to tell everyone congratulations! My total loss was only 1 lb but I've enjoyed following everyone and a motivated for the next challenge!
