It's been a really fun week here in Atlanta! Of course, it was somewhat of a challenge working in the workouts and eating well with our homemade field trips to the children's museum, the train museum, the kids museum, the aquarium, apple picking....
But most days and most meals were of the healthy variety. And there was a ton of walking and pushing strollers. I was able to get in two runs and a long, hilly, heavy-breathing type of power walk, one "arm" day and two "leg" days. Our "last chance" workout last night was the walk and some legs and I honestly am just hoping not to post a gain after the birthday cake (and I will weigh in like usual around 8 a.m. and report back.)
Weigh in: ONE POUND! WOOOOHOOO! ok, I really was scared when I stepped on the scale. But seeing that loss renewed my excitement about staying on course. So yay! I'll take one pound during a birthday week (seeing as I had some cake and whatnot). Happy happy joy joy dance!

I have a feeling that my T.O.M. is coming shortly which might account for some gain.
I am a big loser! I lost three pounds and am down one full size! I was watching Biggest Loser season six and was so glad that I decided to get with a program. I hope you do great this week even being out of town!

I lost 1.5 pounds. I'm actually weighing myself twice a week because when I started this on September 1 I weighted in on that Sunday (Aug. 31) so my "real weight loss" I take from Sunday but for the purposes of this I'm weighing myself Friday mornings too. So it's not entirely accurate, but a loss is a loss, right?
ReplyDeleteLast week I weighed in at 159 pounds and this week I'm down to 157.5! Plus I'm finally getting closer to single digit pant sizes. In March I was in a size 14 but since we adopted a second much younger dog I've gone from a 14 down to a 10.

ReplyDeleteI really don't know why! I have been to the gym EVERY weekday the last two weeks, done good at WW; the only thing I can think of is that it is almost THAT time and I always weigh more the week before. I better have a huge loss next week or I will cry. ;o)
I lost 1.5 pounds! I was very surprised because I wasn't so good with the working out this week. We usually try to take family walks but the kiddos have been sick this week so we didn't do much. It is a motivator to lose so I'm hoping I can ride the wave of excitement into next week and do it again!

ReplyDeleteI am a bit worried b/c I went to the Dr last week and found out that my thyroid is out of whack. I have started on a thyroid hormone replacement drug that might make me gain for a few weeks before I can start losing again.
SO frustrating, but at least I am on the path to better health. That just means I have to work that much harder to reach my goals with you lovely ladies. :)

WooHOO 2 lbs. and I ate icecream twice this week=) My mom is coming this next week so I'll probably gain the 3 lbs I've lost so far eating Thai food....But Thai food is healthy RIGHT!?!? Ok so I tend to OVER eat when my mom is here cooking her yummy food so next week I'm gonna have to wrok hard!
ReplyDeleteOK, last week I forgot to post and had 2 lbs off, this week I lost about 3.5 lbs more, as of yesterday. HOWEVER, I ate ice cream and brownie, something I should not have as a diabetic, and I gained a pound! So, total lost 5.5 minus 1 gained gives a grand total of 4.5 Ugh... but the ice cream and brownie sure tasted good. ;(

ReplyDeleteBack home from our belated summer vacation, happy to join in - although I'm a week too late... and even more happy to report a loss of one pound. I got no idea where or how I lost it during this lazy beach vacation with lots of delicious food, but it's gone.
I lost a pound--I feel good about it. I got to the gym 3 times this week, which really helped.

ReplyDeleteugh. i am up 1.2 lbs. i had a huge loss last week and then this week i got in 77 activity points (gym only time!) and i stayed on points. i am going to assume the gain can be blamed on muscle soreness! next week better be a great number!!!
ReplyDeleteI lost 2.5 this week! I'm celebrating! But not with food. I've been trying to stop eating as soon as I'm satisfied and saving the rest for lunch the next day. Also trying to evaluate if I'm really hungry when I want to eat. I've always been one to eat if I'm bored or tired or upset or happy or.... Well, you get the idea. It's a tough change, but it seems to be working! I've also stopped buying snacks I should avoid. I have yogurt or peanuts if I just can't stand going without a snack.

I have lost 7 pounds. But I'm not sure how. Could be that the first weigh in on day 1 was at the peak of bloat week. Could be that the past week I've lost at least 47 gallons of blood and clots the size of small puppies too numberous to count. Could be that I moved the scale to the bathroom where there is more light and I can actually read the numbers better.
