Oh how I wish that I could just drink a nice big heaping cup of motivation every day in the morning and I'd be set. But no. Instead, I have to find quotes to pick me up -- look at pictures of "old me", look at my babies, or my new pants, whatever it takes to keep me going. I found this quote that made me chuckle:
So here it is: the motivational quote of the week:
"People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily." -Zig Ziglar
And the song of the week: When Did Your Heart Go Missing -- Rooney.
This song isn't motivational because of the words-- it's about a girl, not workouts or perseverence or anything like that. But for some reason, when it comes on, I feel like kicking wildly like Elaine at a party. When I'm running and this song comes on, I think, wouldn't it be funny if I put on legwarmers, a leotard and a headband and did an 80's aerobic workout to this song with big high kicks and arms plunging up and down over my head and taped it and put it on You Tube. Then I think about what other moves I would do for my hypothetical You Tube video and how many hits it would get. And then I would see it on VH1's Best Week Ever and they would say "Crazy People in Leotards are having the Best Week Ever!" And then I would be watching VH1 one day and Web Junk 3.5 would come on and there would be my video again! Then I would think about my kids and how ashamed they would be of me but that is just a fleeting thought because that video would have been fun and so what! Have a good week. Good luck on your goals! Don't forget the scavenger hunt -- last day is Friday!
Thanks for dropping by my blog and joining the 5K!!! Nice to meet you.
ReplyDeleteSo...yeah I'm a dork! I guess next time I should pay a little bit more attention to the actual date and not just the day of the week that it is due! Oh well, at least I was done EARLY! Hahaha!!!
